Continue Shopping button goes back to front screen

Is it possible to configure the continue shopping button so that it does not return to the welcome page but rather the previous page that the customer was looking at?

You may want to make the logic more intelligent rather than just looking like the back button. For example, if I've just added a product to the cart from the product details page, I don't think that it would be a good idea to return a customer to the details page of the product that has just been added to the cart. Maybe what you could do is to look at the current category and forward the customer to a page showing a list of products in that category?
