Catalogs documentation

I need to understand the concept of "Catalogs" in konakart but I didn't find any helpful documentation in this part.

Can anyone help in that please?

thanks Ryan. Shall I have to update the client side (store application) to show the products based on catalog? Or how can user access specific catalog?

As it says in the link I posted, you can set the catalog id in the store front app by editing the class KKAppEngCallouts .
